What is Mediation? Mediation is a process that’s offered by the courts and private companies. Essentially, it’s a process that allows the parties an opportunity to sit down and try to reach an agreement amicably in lieu of going to trial.
How the mediation process works depends on the mediator you’re working with. No mediation experience will be exactly the same as another. However, generally, mediators sit down with both parties, obtain each of their perspectives, and try to help the parties find a middle ground or compromise that will be agreeable for both of them in an effort to resolve the issue.
